Chris Roos
Chris Roos is the sole principal of Old Brookewood Capital. From 2014 to 2022 he served as an Officer in the Navy SEAL Teams, deploying to East Africa and Yemen and leading innovation initiatives for Naval Special Warfare's undersea component. He earned his MBA from the University of Texas at Austin with a focus on entrepreneurship and finance.
During business school Chris worked with Brand Foundry, a venture capital firm, gaining exposure to early-stage companies including Graza and GigSafe. He also attempted to start his own company — a sunscreen brand — which gave him a ground-level view of what it takes to build something from scratch. He subsequently joined Jefferies as an Investment Banking Associate, advising on mergers and acquisitions in the Transportation and Logistics sector.
Old Brookewood Capital is structured as a traditional search fund — equity capital raised from a defined group of investors to support the search, with additional capital committed to fund an acquisition. Chris lives in Richmond, VA with his wife and three children.
